Hi, I'm Dr. Cath - it's nice to "meet" you!
I'm a registered psychologist who offers private counselling services out of Edmonton, Alberta. My office is located in North-Central Edmonton.
Outside of counselling hours, I am the program director of the Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counselling program at Vanguard College. Prior to this I worked as a pastor, then as an Addictions Counsellor.
My approach to counselling is Rogerian, meaning I view the client as having everything they need to grow and change inside of themselves already. My role as counsellor is simply to walk with you and to use skill, creativity, and psychological knowledge to help you draw out your own strength.
I'm also able to offer Christian religious and spiritual support in-session, at the client's request.
If you need to find hope again in your life and your relationships, I would love to help you find it!

I have worked in a variety of contexts including private clinical practice, mental health clinics and addiction services. My 30+ years of experience includes issues such as addictions, anxiety, depression, stress management, domestic violence, relationships, family therapy, life skills, and spiritual issues. I have a special interest in developmental disorders such as ADHD, and the challenges that these disorders pose to the individual and their families. I have also worked with children and adolescents on issues such as grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, as well as various family struggles, and have had opportunity to consult on highly specialized cases in order to provide excellent psychological services for children and youth in Addictions & Mental Health Clinics.
I am a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, and the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and hold a certificate in Clinical Interventions in Trauma from the Justice Institute of B.C.
